Orlando Nightlife

Orlando is known for it's fun filled family attractions that keep families at the theme parks all hours of the day. However Orlando has added many new night time attractions that will certainly heat things up after the sun goes down. Orlando is home to some great bars, and restaurants, as well as many one of a kind type night life spots such as Downtown Disney, Universal's CityWalk, and Pointe Orlando on International Drive. All 3 unique complexes are in the middle of some major expansion.

Universal's CityWalk is a 30 acre complex that has anything and everything needed to make any night out a great night. CityWalk offers great live music, casual and fine dining, dancing, shopping, movies, and more. Some of the restaurants at Citywalk include the Hard Rock Café, NBA City, Nascar Café, Margaritaville, and the newest addition to be opening in the summer of 2006, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. For dancing, drinking and music, Margaritaville is great but also try Hard Rock Live, CityJazz, Pat O'Brien's, The Groove, Latin Quarter, Bob Marley's - A Tribune to Freedom, and the newest addition to be opening in the summer of 2006, the Red Coconut Club. From restaurants, to nightclubs, to live music venues, to movies, Citywalk truly has it all.

Pointe Orlando has for a long time been known as the third night time complex in Orlando, relying mainly on convention visitors in town who are able to walk here, or from a few loyal locals who still enjoy what Pointe Orlando has to offer. There is a movie theater, a Hooters, along with many restaurants.

New restaurants at Pointe Orlando include The Capital Grille which has opened with 9,000 square feet and features steak in an upscale, plush surrounding. The Oceanaire will feature fresh seafood flown in daily from around the world and served in a well appointed setting. The daily printed menu is a testament to the quality of seafood that emphasizes seasonal preparations and regionally inspired dishes. The restaurant will be in 8,500 square feet and is the first in Central Florida. Maggiano's Little Italy joins Pointe Orlando in 16,000 square feet. With authentic Italian fare in a relaxed setting, the restaurant offers home-cooked meals featuring either family-style or single servings. Maggiano's has additional locations in Florida including Tampa, Jacksonville and Boca Raton. Tommy Bahama's Tropical Café & Emporium will feature men's and women's clothing, accessories and home furnishings as well as a full-service restaurant with a relaxed, island theme. One of only six in the country, this 10,000 square foot venue will feature the laid-back state of mind that is the Tommy Bahama philosophy. B.B. King's will be located on the second level of Pointe Orlando in 10,000 square feet. The venue will feature nightly entertainment including local, regional and national acts along with a full service bar and restaurant.
